Kamal Haasan turns politican!

This being the Kamal Haasan's 50th year in cinema, the Ulaganayagan is
the flavour of not just movie events, but also TV programmes. And
though this is his 50th year in cinema, Kamal continues to be most
sought-after by directors of all genres and age groups.

After Unnaipol Oruvan, he will be starting a project with Mysskin
reportedly titled 500 B.C. Close on the heels of this is news that the
actor will also be doing a film directed by K.S. Ravikumar; the duo
has Panchatanthiram and Dasavathaaram to its credit. Kamal will
reportedly play a politican in this film which will be produced by his
home banner Raj Kamal International; the female lead may be Trisha or
Tamannaah.

Given that Trisha is busy with her Hindi debut Khatta Meetha, will
Tamannaah be the lucky one?

Haasan is undeniably the true and ultimate hero of Indian cinema!

He is celebrating 50 years of cinema this year, which is no mean
achievement. He made his silver screen debut when he was just five and
stole a million hearts with his innocence and angelic charm. Cinema
warmly wrapped its arms around him then and there, and he returned the
embrace. He has relentlessly pursued the art for 50 long years and the
best part is that neither he nor cinema has tired of each other.

He has several goals set for himself, and there is absolutely no
stopping the man. His every achievement has been a milestone for
Indian cinema, and a stepping stone to higher achievements for him.
For the world that knew Indian cinema only through Bollywood, Kamal
Haasan's acting nonpareil (beyond comparison) and intense efforts have
exposed them to Tamil cinema as well. Irrespective of success or
failure, Kamal has always striven to deliver innovative and often
revolutionary ideas, and that's precisely what sets him apart from the
rest. And today, as he celebrates his 55th birthday, we sincerely wish
him a long healthy life, and many many more successful movies.
