Obama rebukes Putin's comments saying 'America is exceptional'

President Barack Obama has said 'America is exceptional', rebuking the recent comments of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the United States.

In his address at the United Nations General Assembly, Obama said he believes in American exceptionalism because the nation has always shown a willingness to sacrifice its blood and treasure to stand-up for its own self-interest as well as for the interest of all, Politico reports.

Putin wrote earlier this month that "It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation." (ANI)
