Ilayathalapathy, Thala go the khakhi way

Khakhi seems to be back in Kollywood. After Hari's Singam 2 with Suriya, we hear that both Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith are all set to don the police gear in their forthcoming films. While Vijay is said to be playing a police officer in Nesan's Jilla, Ajith is also playing a cop in his upcoming film with Vishnuvardhan. While the unit members from both these films remained tight-lipped, reliable sources confirm the cop connection in these films.

A source close to Ajith's film confirms, "Yes, the actor will be playing a cop, but it's not a role that he will be portraying throughout the film. His cop character will come for a few scenes and will take the story forward."

Another source in the know says, "Jilla has a cop element. Recently, a scene resembling a felicitation function, involving several junior artists in police uniform, was shot in the city. In the last couple of days, Vijay has joined the team and is shooting for the scenes that feature him as a cop." Interestingly, while Vijay had played a cop in Pokkiri, Ajith played a police officer in Mankatha and Anjaneya.
